Pointing out the obvious to fat ignorant dumb shits (like yourself) on my digital soapbox is one of my hobbies. If memory serves the first amendment has five basic rights:

Freedom of religion
Freedom of speech
Freedom of the press
The right to assemble
The right to petition the government for a redress of grievances

so in practice this means ya have to accept rants of pompous intellectuals like my self pointing out that in general SUVs are a bad fashion fad or to use the venacular, SUVs SUCK! In the distance future I'm sure if people made a greatest hits list of things that suck, DISCO and SUVs will be listed pretty high.

A democracy is a complex and fragile thing, so we all have to accept that we won't always have our way. If it were up to me I'd cull the herd of troglodytes who think the rants of rush limbach or fox news have any scientific relevance, but since the united states is a democracy I must tolerate the fact that not everyone is going to be as smart, good look or rich as I am.

In a democracy there is always going to be BS that someone hates, for example "rednecks" have to accept the fact that zealot lawyers from the ACLU are going to try and protect the rights of "wet backs" and other economic refugees, the NAACP must less sensitive to "nigger" jokes from KKK, there are too many darn "fags" in the military and politics trying to subvert the establishment from within, and the liberal elite drive by media is making life impossible for whacked out christian fundamentalist and vice versa.

By mentioning "several hundred thousand others such as myself" I'd surmise that this has reference to the US military, if ya looked back to world war II history ya would discover that the was a wide spread effort to save gas

so why isn't that same sentiment still valid today?

As to seeing crap around the world in areas where there is conflict, poverty and death.... been there done that!
