Ég myndi ráðleggja þér að byrja á því að nota Visual C++ 6.0, vegna þess að bókin miðar við þá útgáfu og hún er að ýmsu leyti einfaldari.

Síðan gæti verið góð hugmynd að skipta yfir í .NET ef þú hefur möguleika á því. Það ætti að vera tiltölulega auðveld breyting, a.m.k. fyrir það sem við notum Visual C++ í.
