He nearly dove onto the couch after her, sticking his nose into the bag in curiosity as his tongue lolled out the side of his mouth. His tail banged nonstop behind him, and he crawled over the bag towards her in an effort to lick at her face.

As she vacated the couch to place down the bowls, he followed at her heels with an excitable bark. He stuck his nose into each one experimentally, coming up from the second with water dripping down his chin. For the most part, he ignored the bowls and concentrated on her, running back to jump on the couch next to her.
