It had happened again. Her mothers boyfriend had crossed the line, again!
It had happened when she came home from a date with her friends. Her mothers boyfriend, Perry Bauer, had waited until she was in the shower, so the water would cover the sound of him breaking the lock and entering. He had slipped inside the bathroom and into the shower cubicle. There he had his wicked way with her, leaving her in tears after he worked on his needs.

Bruised, dirty and alone. That is how she felt everytime after he raped her. But now it was enough!

She picked up her bag wich only held her most beloved possesions, her diary and the framed picture of her father. She picked some clothes from her closet and put them in the bag also.
She opened the door and turned around, looking around the appartment for the last time. She felt nothing, not one happy memorie. It was filled with moans and groans comming from her mothers bedroom.

Stepping over the threshold with a disgusted look on her face. Closing the door behind her for the last time. Letting out a deep sigh, she leaned against the door. Thoughts drifting through her mind.
�Would her mother miss her? Would she even notice she was gone?� She let out another sigh and pushed the thoughts out of her mind. From now on she was gonna focus on the future, no more dwelling on the past.

With this in her mind, she hailed over a cab and took off to the only place she could think of going to.

�Nikita, what happened to you?� Walter saw her beautiful blue eyes fill with tears. He shook his head and pulled her inside.
�Please not again.� He whispered under his breath, while hugging his cousin close to him.

He loved his sister, but he also hated her for not seeing what was happening to Nikita. After the death of her husband, 5 years ago, Roberta had sunk low. She began drinking alcohol 24 hours a day and Walter suspected her to be using drugs too. And all the boyfriends she had weren�t making the situation any better. Especially not for Nikita.

This was the 4th time this month she had come to him. She never told him about what happened to her, but he could see it in her eyes. Feel it when he held her sobbing body against his. She never stayed longer then a few days. The guilt would start eating at her fragile mind, making her feel bad about leaving her mom. Most of all she felt like she was dissapointing the memory of her father.

Walter had a feeling it was gonna be different this time.

If Nikita's mother is Walter's sister, Nikita would be
his niece, not a cousin.

I am not a writer, but a reader, but that caught my eye
right away. This is a good start.
