She never anticipated the people’s curiosity over this wedding. She knew people were interested in the lives of the noble people, but this was completely unexpected. It made the whole day more overwhelming. She hoped Michael could handle all of this attention they were receiving on this beautiful day. Her father grabbed her hand to get her to focus on him. He led her up the stairs of the church. She felt her stomach going into knots again. She did not dream that she would be as nervous as she felt. He held her chin and kissed her forehead. “All you need to focus on, my dear, is the man you are about to marry. She smiled and was glad her father was making attempts to ease her mind about her wedding day. A million thoughts raced through her head. Although she did love Michael, she was about to marry him. They have not really gotten to spend a lot of time alone and she hoped she could live up to his expectations. She was leaving her family to live with this man. A new place, a new home and a new role. Her father could sense her worry and patted her harm as they entered the doors into the lobby of the church. He whispered. “Do not fear my dear. This will be over before you know it.” She gave him a nervous smiled as they made their way before the doors into the cathedral. The King of England was going to be here and many others of English nobility. She hated that she would enter this church and needed to appear emotionless and stoic. She loved this man and could not show it. She had to try to focus on the endgame. Inside of the church, Michael stood at the head of the church. The Bishop of Canterbury stood directly in front of him. Michael had on his best black suit and a blue sash with gold lining that went around his body over one shoulder. He could play the part to the letter. No one knew the strong excitement he could feel deep down. He was about to be given an angel and his heart was filled with joy. He would make it his life duty to honor this woman and always make her happy. He heard the organ begin to play. He stood up with the rest of the congregation and turned to await his bride. He saw his mother and the gloating on her face. His sister smiled at him and he nodded to her. The King of England and his family were seated to the right of the altar. Michael did not pay one bit of attention to them because his eyes were glued to the doors that his angel was about to walk through.
