As some of you know I live in Central Florida and as I am sure all of you know, we got hit by Hurricane Charlie. My home was in the path of the storm.

Thank God I live inland and the damage to my area, even though it was intense and claimed 2 lives, was not as bad as what you have seen reported from Punta Gorda. I have some damage to my home and some other losses. Unfortunatelly our sailboat that I told Roy about, didn't fare as well and can't be repair like the house. My husband trying to save his precious boat when he heard the storm was coming to Tampa Bay (he kept it south of Sarasota), moved it further down to... you guessed it - Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte (ground zero) and it sank.

We are Hurricane Andrew survivors, we evacuate when a storm is coming, so we were in the Miami area when the storm hit. This whole hurricane thing is old news to us and we take it all with great calmness. But when I returned home yesterday for the first time, I had a bit of 'post traumatic stress syndrome'. I keep on reminding myself that it is all just 'stuff.'

So again, thank you for the emails and the concern and prayers, I really appreciate them all. And please pray for those who lost their lives and their homes, at least I may not have a roof, but my home can be repaired.

Again thanks, now off to post this on AUI... thanks Rita for allowing me this OT post.
