This is just another reminder that on 4/24/07 the double feature of 'Les Miserables' will be released on dvd. Of course, one of the features is the one with Robert Newton. So far I have seen it at Movies Unlimited for $15.99, Critics' Choice for $15.96 (it looks like this could have free shipping through 5/31/07), and at Deep Discount DVD for $14.64 with free shipping.

Thanks for posting the info, Sue! I think you might have mentioned that before. Sorry I've been remiss (again) in updating the site; life's been more hectic than usual lately, and I've been really exhausted! I'll add that to the News page as soon as I get a chance. :-)

BTW, this seems to be Robert Newton month ... In case you haven't checked the News/Calendar page, there's going to be a Robert Newton "marathon" on Turner Classic Movies (US only, it seems) on April 20, starting at 8 p.m., I think ... finally! Three of his movies back to back! (And, do we dare hope, maybe some commentary in between?) Also, coming out at the end of this month, there'll be a feature article about him in "Pirates" magazine written by yours truly! (With copious thanks to all of you, of course, for your help with the research over the years.) It should hit newsstands by the first week of May.
