Has anyone seen the Long John Silver commercial (meaning the LJS restaurant)advertising the fish nuggets? At the end a voice, that sounds very much like Robert Newton's, says 'Arrr! Genius!' I have seen it mostly on the TV Land cable channel. I wonder if they have actually used a recording of his voice or someone is doing an imitation (a pretty good one at that!).

Hi, Sue! No, I haven't seen the commercial--I guess I'll have to start watching more TVLand. (Imagine watching a TV station for the commercials rather than the programming! I haven't watched TVLand for a while now, since they stopped showing "I Dream of Jeannie"! Too many 70's shows for a while there. And this may be blasphemy, but I'm so tired of the Andy Griffith Show, which *never* goes out of rotation. But I see at least "Green Acres" and "The Munsters" are back in prime time. Hey, wouldn't it be great if they started showing the "Adventures of Long John Silver" in between their LJS commercials?!) Anyway, I expect we'll be seeing lots of pirates in the coming months with the release of "Pirate of the Caribbean 2"--especially if it's a success! They're even doing merchandising this time, but, alas, too late for those of us who wanted the Captain Barbossa doll! "Ar! ... Strike yer colors, ye bloomin' cockroaches!"

I just saw it this morning! yea it kinda does doesn't it? but i don't ever remember Robert ever saying the word "genius". i don't know maybe it's a recording, maybe not.
