Susan wrote regarding the mistake in the Pirate magazine:

"Here's a quick quiz: Do you know the correct name of the ship (from the TV series The Adventures of Long John Silver)?"

It's the 'Faithful'.

Isn't that the ship that Long John and his crew stole from Mendoza (The Cordoba) in the movie? The ship was renamed the Faithful by Purity, right?

I'm pretty sure that it was in the episode "Pieces of Eight" where Silver mentions that Purity had named the ship. I think he makes another reference to it in "The Eviction", but I'd have to go back and check.
I don't know for sure if in the series it's supposed to be the same ship from the film because they never really say. I was just wondering it anyone else knew.

It's definitely called The Faithful in the series; I can't remember if it had a name in the movie. Guess I'll have to watch it again. :-)
