"After attending school in Lamorna, near Penzance in Cornwall, and then Newbury Grammar school, Newton was taken on as an assistant stage manager at the enterprising Birmingham Repertory Company under Barry (later Sir) Jackson."

Elizabeth, that paragraph is right out of Susan's biography page (hint...read the biography).

For future reference, the bio is here:

http://www.mooncove.com/newton/bio.htm

and here:

http://www.mooncove.com/newton/bio2.htm

Also, the career overview is here:

It doesn't seem fair that you would get in trouble for reading the bio for a school project (which is research, just like if you looked it up in a book) yet they don't mind you chatting on message boards. (Besides, you have to wait longer for an answer on the message board, whereas you can get the info you need from the biography right away! The part about his education is in the second paragraph of the bio. It came direct from his son Nicholas.)

Not to discourage you from chatting on the message board, of course. Just trying to save you time by letting you know that the answer was already there.

Thanks, I don't read that well anyway, so it would have taken me longer to read the bio and try to find it. and my teachers are weird.
