When I was growing up in South Jersey my sister and I loved watching Robert Newton in Hatter's Castle on TV. I have not seen the film in years and years nor am I able to obtain a copy on video. Learned his name, Robert Newton and after searching Newton on the Web I learned the name of the memorable film is "Hatter's Castle." Wendy, I'm sure you must have been watching "The Million Dolllar" movie which used to air great classics for free which we must now pay for on AMC. I have read the book at least 20 times and the film starring Robert Newton bears no resemblence whatsoever to this marvellous book.
