Well Mitch, you may be right there...someone may have heard me grumbling and decided to have some fun at my expense. Wouldn't be the first time, that's for sure.

All I know is that it has been a year and a half since the Camp Jackson Massacre, and I think them Black Republicans and their foreign mercenaries may have found us Missourians a tougher nut to crack than they first imagined.

But we whipped them at Lexington, then at Oak Hill, then at Elkhorn, and instead of resting at home in our free and independent Missouri, we are in Mississippi breathing in the unhealthy vapors that seem to trouble this country and the Dutch are the ones resting in our homes. Like Uncle Tom, I ain't going to shirk my duty, but it seems to me that my duty is to be back in Missouri, not here.
