Gang - head on over to http://www.nsalliance.org/corinth/uniform.htm and read the articles on Corinth CS uniforms. Good stuuf, including Fred's 2nd TX article. For the 3rd MO Battalion Dismounted Cavalry there is no great info for our unit beyond the general MO info, such as the Appler Jacket and notes for Tom Ezell and Frank Aufmuth speaking to the un-dyed (drab) uniforms, homespun and commutation uniforms, which Appler's may have been an example of.

We also know nothing about the arms of the 3rd MO Batn Cav. All things being equal, your Trans-Miss impression jackets and civilian stuff should be fine. No Taits or HD blue-gray stuff to be sure, but simple frocks, civilian sacks and udyed and sheep's gray jackets are probably the order of the day - see the boss Danny McCoslin for more details and any druthers he may have.

Doug
