Dang Fred - well maybe I can get permission to do two trips in 3 weeks and join you in frock coat and cap at McDowell. Understand completely on your daughter - my son turned 3 last Wed and it was close!

I might also mention that there is some talk in the works of a western picket post sponsored by the WIG.

One thing we need to get straight on the WIG vs Cleburnes. You saw Cleburnes in action this weekend - they are not campaigners (did not march on Friday and left altogether Saturday night) and don't give a hoot about preservation - as relayed by Smotherman to Danny. The WIG has cut them loose for the same reasons. Cleburnes is the bunch that hosed us at Mansfield. The WIG is coming west in a max effort for Athens, MO in 2005 - quite a trip. They regret not being able to help at Mansfield, but thought the Cleburnes were that help, and then were sorely PO'ed about what happened. That action percipitated the split. The WIG will support us, and that's a good thing.
