Subject: Personas

Comrades - want to make sure everyone understands that assuming a persona is not mandatory. Some folks don't care to and for others there may not be a good fit. We just need soldiers, and the boys in the real Co B, 15th TX would probably like it either way. Marcus Herring was from a world very similar to my own ancestors in the 18th LA - company officers who were rather well off and owned slaves. The 18th was of course in Gray's Louisiana Brigade in our division. Assuming Herring's persona will make me that much closer to my own ancestors.

I would like to thank KC MacDonald for working so hard on the census data to help us here. I will continue to post the historical record of the unit all week as well as additional event and company specific stuff. 12 days till the boys from Co B come to life.
