Subject: Inspection passes will be given to 1st Sgt Baker
In reply to: Phil Graf, Regimental QM 's message, "Inspection and Registration (Please Read!!!)" on 03/27/04 11:25:18am

I will repeat the above in an e-mail to all for retention and post here as well:

MANSFIELD REGISTRATION AND CHECK-IN

AT PLEASANT HILL (see post from Lt Graf for more details):

1. Register at the event site registration Dogtrot cabin: Place your pass in the vehicle and lock anything visible in the trunk.

2. Be inspected by QM Lt Phil Graf. He will be set up nearby, and the people at the main registration will send you over. Lt Graf will give you an inspection pass that will be presented to 1st Sgt. Baker to show that you have passed inspection. Any item not within guidelines (I don't expect any of this) will be returned to your vehicle. There will be a loaner box there under guard to replace any items.

3. Be shuttled by pickup truck to Mansfield by Phil's fiancée Sharon.

AT MANSFIELD STATE BATTLEFIELD PARK (camp is 100 yds from the visitor center by the pond):

1. Find Co B 1st Sgt Fred Baker and report in, showing your pass. Inform him if you are in need of a uniform part or equipment item to meet guidelines, if not already annotated by Lt Graf. Several of us will have more loaner gear and uniform items if you should need it …but a jacket, blanket or major piece of equipment rents for $5 Preservation Bucks.

2. Sign the roles and turn in your preservation donation money to Capt McCoslin. This is very cool period roll in a large book to be retained at Mansfield as a record of your service and donations. .

3. Turn in your ammo and have your weapon inspected by Ordnance Sgt Timms. If you have previously arranged for a loaner weapon, procure it at this time.

We will go live Friday evening so try arriving before dark to facilitate the above procedures

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday parking/camping

1. We may park at Mansfield Visitor Center but must move cars to Pleasant Hill by Friday afternoon. Remember to register and be inspected if not performed before being shuttled back to Mansfield.

2. Camping at this site is OK for Wed if needed.

Capt M. D. Herring, Commanding
