Congratulations Reg and Carol Shanahan in their Lotus Elise. Winners of the Atlas-Sahara 2004.

They were the only crew and car to cover the nine day endurance reaching all 60 controls on their minute.

2nd place went to Gordon Hick and Roger Turner in their Fisher Fury only 2 marks behind.

Full results for all classes to follow.

Six cars failed to make the Start in Tangier. Of the 20 cars that started 15 made it to the finish on this tough endurance rally. Congratulations to all those that finished.

Peter & Carol.

Congrats indeed.

Felt very low and left out after our car finally threw us one problem too many (still not sure if it's the clutch or the gearbox). We had a fantastic time. Thanks again to all the marshalls and organisers for a great event. I must also mention how helpful the police were when the gearbox mount failed, and also how helpful the locals were whilst we tried in vain to get the car going again after our last failure.

VDU7X is officially retired from endurance events but we're just starting to think about an endurance special. Maybe a Caterham, maybe a MW Spyder, maybe something else. Whatever, we'll be back!
