Jules led the shining mare of red-chestnut to the opening of the Misty Forest. She stopped her, "This will be our first ride," She whispered, "So be good." Her comment was said firmly but a heavy accent of affection smothered it. She softly patted the mare's neck before moving the reins over her head and slipping a foot into the recently-adjusted stirrup. She climbed up into the saddle and settled before gathering her reins. As the mare began her movements she eased her pressure on the reins, "Easy girl, let's start slow," She incouraged, keeping her reins firm so the mare could no longer throw her head without more a fight. As the mare began to walk foreward she clucked softly to Red, "Let's go, Red darling." At the mare's impatient pace she chuckled softly, "Ready to go, are we?" She nodded briefly as if to agree with the mare and softly squeezed via her calves; allowing the mare to break forth in a trotting motion.
