The 3 stages under "Cycle of urbanisation" are :

Stage 1: Pre-urbanization: land under natural vegetation or agriculture (tropical rainforest and mangrove swamps), channels are adjusted to existing conditions

Stage 2: Construction – surface is stripped,soil structure destroyed, erosion increases, large amounts of sediment reaches drainage channels, leading to disequilibrium

Stage 3: new urban landscape more concrete storm drains and sewers flooding is increased, sediments reduced channels still in disequilibrium
