Hi, I have homeschooled my granddaughter since 3rd grade (now in 9th). I found that using differenct color sheets when copying worksheets this has helped tremendously. It allows the child to view the work and follow directions better. I have also used different color pens for directions like "red" for circling and "blue" for underling. When it comes to book reports I would allow my son to verbally tell the story then I would type it in the computer. This helped and in time he began to do it himself thereby building self-esteem. We also helped my daughter when it came to social study/science fairs by cutting out the needing information whereby this saved time and allowed her to focus on the project and yet it still allowed her to do the glueing, etc. It has been hit or miss on some things but keep trying. It is worth every minuter of your time once you see the student finally achieve their goals and then show their great big smile.
