To put the number of hits in four days in perspective, the Peoples' TV Association, Inc., last had 334 paid members, of which 5 attended the March 2003 Members Meeting. In just four days since this site went public, with few even knowing it exists, we've averaged 40 hits a day.

To each of you visiting, please post. No need to identify who you are. We want your thoughts, comments, ideas, feedback... and more importantly -- we want you to have your friends and acquaintances visit, read and post as well.

This forum's mission is simple - to give you an opportunity to find out what happened to the TV reception you no longer receive, to allow you to express your thoughts, to get answers to your questions, and to help spread the word that NO-ONE need do without TV reception. With a satellite dish, point to Galaxy 10R, at 123 degrees West in the sky -- and you will tune in 100's of channels to watch.

I have a dish system I bought at Radio Shack in Moses Lake. How do I find 123 degrees West?

Radio Shack has a device under $30.00 which allows you to find Galaxy 10R. It's easier for you to go to Radio Shack, buy the device, and follow the instructions. You need an unobstructed clear view to the heavens Westbound. Let us know how it works out.

Most DirecTV and DISH installers use signal meters built into the receivers. This can be done to a limited extent with an MPEG-2 receiver, but you really have to know what you are doing. Even with the right numbers, you have got to be within a fraction of a degree and patient enough to slowly pan back and forth until you find the signal.

The signal meters do not immediately respond, so it must be done slowly, and have the talent to freeze immediately when you latch onto the edge of a signal.

Get an in-line tuning meter which does not tell you what satellite you are on, but if you have the proper elevation, you will get within 2 or 3 satellites and go from there.

It will beep and the needle moves when you happen onto something. Such a meter is available for a paltry $29.00. You also want to get an angle finder ($15.00), which is placed across the face of a dish to second-guess the alignment gauge on an antenna.

Have fun. The sky is the limit!
