The Municipality of Imperia (Department of Tourism and Events) together with Cineforum Imperia organizes the 4th Edition of Video Festival Imperia “The International Festival of Cinematographic Digital Art” dedicated to shorts, documentary and animation.
This Edition, considering the importance achieved at national and international level, has obtained the prestigious sponsorship of the Ministry for Economic Development, Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, General Administration for Cinema, RegionLiguria, Province of Imperia, City of Imperia.
Next edition is scheduled from april 14 to april 18, 2009, at the Eutropia Hall in the I.Calvino Theatre (inside the Imperia University) and in the Cultural Multy-purpose Center of Imperia.
There are 4 categories:
Professionals Category (Sections: Film, Documentary, Animation) without time limits.
Amateurs Category (Sections: Feature Film, Short, Documentary, Animation, Photographic Video Album, Schools) without time limits.
International Category (Sections: Short, Documentary, Animation) without time limits.
Special Category (Sections: Touristic Documentary, Naturalistic Documentary).
– The subject is free.
– No entry fee.
– The deadline is january 26, 2009 (for national competitors) and february 23, 2009 (for international competitors).
There will be also a competition for graphic illustrators.
The freshness of this edition is “The Festival of Festivals”, competition exclusively for Festivals all over the world (not Italy) which will participate with their prize-winning works in their last edition. To the winner Festival will be awarded the special prize “Silver frame Festival of theFestivals” and to the author of the winning work will be awarded the “Silver Frame World Global Films”.
