You are correct, there is proof that the Isaac and Campbell knapsack was present during the Red River Campaign. It is not listed in the guidelines because they were so rare. Out of all the dug artifacts from Mansfield and Pleasant Hill collections, only a couple of pieces have been found to date. On the other hand, thousands upon thousands of US knapsack hardware pieces have been dug. This indicates that there were many more double bags than british knap sacks. There is no solid proof that the 15th had any british knap sacks that I am aware of. If someone knows of any, please speak up because I would prefer my I&C over my Fed pack any day.

Hope this helps, Stephen
