Michael,
Not sure of the exact agenda for the march, that's probably more a question for Capt. Johns. From what I understand we're looking about 7 miles or so the first day. As far as march to rest timing, I would guess that we'd use the old standby of march 50 min. rest 10; however no-one has thought it necessarry to clue in corporals to the big picture. I imagine we'll know only what we have to before we set off so that we can get a better expierience of what the soldiers felt. I can assure you that this event will be one to remember, and we will all be helping to save an endangered battlefield from certain destruction.
I'm sure it will be plenty warm, so start drinking water now. I cannot say this enough. Drinking enough water on the march is only half the issue. Your cells need time to absorb as much water as they can before we set off.
There will be plenty of water stops along the way. I'm not sure how many exactly, but the organizers are taking care of this issue. I'll send a couple emails and see if I can find out some more information for y'all.
Regards,
Stephen
