Subject: Household names

Comrades,
I was just browsing through the census records trying to find myself (HA!) when I noticed a few men whose names we should all probably know and have an opinion about whatever that opinion may be.

1)I.A. Echols - Dept. Sherrif McLennan County
2) J. McLennan - High Sherrif McLennan County
3) J.C. Billingsly - Dept. U.S. Marshall

And another two guys it would probably behoove us to know whether we loved 'em or hated 'em.

4) J.C. Newlon - Postmaster
5) J.M. Smith - Tavern keeper ; )

That's just a start, I imagine we would all have names that were common too us, and if we did speak much of home, it would probably be of expieriences that we all shared, funny stories or local scandals that were as familiar to these men as the latest 'reality television' show is to the unfortunate majority of our countrymen today.
Rather than a group of 25 strangers, we are representing a literal community at war. Granted, we are a young community, but a community nonetheless. I believe this aspect of the war is one of the hardest to recapture, especially with these types of events where our comrades hail from as far away as the Pacific Northwest and the United Kingdom. Anybody else have any ideas on how to prepare for this? Any other names that should be fairly recognizeable to us all?
Regards,
Stephen Mitchell
