^^A smart rapping on the door is heard, and soon the two figures are admitted into the vast throne room. A gnarled old ancient enters, leaning on a carved stick. Rheumy eyes cast about the area before he executes a very low bow. Sweeping aside the edges of the long, embroidered robe he wore, he addressed the king, Japanese accent clear in his quaint dialect.^^

^Your Majesty, Wirriam. I am Takahashi Yokato, councirror of his Highness Emperor Jakarto Takai. May I present his daughter, the princess Yoshika Takai. I understand that in the country of Hogwen you do not recognize foreign royarty, and that is why during her stay here, Princess Yoshika will remain a mere...er, 'rady'. We bring you fine gifts as a token of our Emperors benevorence to you. Observe, Highness.^

^^Two soldiers enter, bearing a gilt chest and a long, curved rapier in a heavily decorated sheath. Opening the chest, fine silks and costly jewellery flash in the light. The advisor straightens from his bow, eyes twinkling kindly. Ushering forth the princess, he smiles.^^

^^Yoshika's ebony eyes turn to the King, awe and fear of this new country tainting her normally spirited visage. Porcelain features are painted with a soft blush, as are cherry-red lips. The gentle breeze stirs the loose strands of her set black hair, loosing a few silken strands. A few orchids adorn her made-up hair, off-setting her embroidered Oriental gown. Pressing pale fingers in a prayer position, she bows deeply, the very image of grace and serenity. Rising, she watches the king boldly - if not slightly frightened - and draws in a silent breath.^^

^Sire, Yoshika wirr serve you and your house faithfurry, as a handmaiden to the Queen, or a rady of court. I wirr see to our accommodations if it preases your Majesty.^

^^Another deep bow, and the man backs up. The woman remains standing, unsure but radiating a sense of dignity.^^

(^ooc: Just so you know, the Japanese alphabet does not have "l's" in it, so they subsitute "r's". ie. - 'rady' = 'lady', and so on. Just to clear that up!^)

Smiles gently at the group, taking in the chest as well as the woman. "She may stay as a lady-in-waiting. She shall first see how we work here at the Castle Tor." He waves his hand in dismissal, a troupe of servants taking the chest away to King William's private stores. (NT)King William13:33:44 06/23/01 Sat
