I spoke with Joe newman about a year ago about St. Louis, and he said he felt it might not be a good fit. I didn't ask him to expand on that thought. My personal opinion is that St. Louis would be a good fit. There is no NBA team there, so that means less competition for fans. Granted, you still have the college team, but better to compete with college than college and the NBA.

I'm not sure what to think of Birmingham or Des Moines. I've been to Birmingham, but never came away with the impression, "here's a place a pro team can survive."

Downtown Baltimore would work in my opinion because there is so much going on. I forget the name of the arena that the old Balt. Bullets played in back in the day, but last time i was there, it was sill up. It is located just blocks away from Camden Yards and the Harbor area. Lots of businesses near by, so I think it would be great to try it at least. I just hope their nick name is better than "Claws" or "Hustlers."
