Surprised at her outburst but relieved, he gives a grin, white teeth flashing in contrast to tanned features. Clearing his throat in obvious nervousness, he lets a tentative hand fall to hers. "Marnie...I suppose in some respects I am not as outspoken as natural, and in truth I was - " He stops, withdrawing his hand and likewise blushing, faint colour tinting his cheeks in a rosy hue. He drops his eyes, his feelings more definite than ever - as if confirmed in her sentence. But again, this guessing game plays havoc with his feelings, shadowing his thoughts with some doubt that perhaps she hadn't meant exactly what she said. But still... Taking her hand and raising it to his lips briefly, he confesses, his tone hardly audible. "I think that I might be falling...into something deeper than I could imagine."
