I think Russ did the right thing by walking away. Keep the channel open to Colin, but leave him alone to figure things out. He's obviously still hurting and who knows when he'll heal. He's clearly not ready for a new relationship, and further, I think he was having a negative effect on Russ, going by his last few thoughts, Colin was bringing Russ's vibe down with his.
