The trio moved into the clearing, and Immortal immedaitely took charge. He told his sisters that in order for him to attempt to help them both, he'd need to be in between. So Flames moved over, and he squeezed in between her and indigo. Then he spoke. Listen. Flames, you're going first. Once you start a fire, I want Indigo to put it out, okay? Oh, and lets stick to little fires okay? he said, and the sisters nodded. Flames concentrated, looking inside herself for her power. Beads of sweat formed as she tried to call up the fire. Finally she reached for her brother's little boost and set a pinecone aflame. Indigo smiled grimly, and knew her concentration was better than her sister's. She called the water by herself, using water from a nearby puddle she'd noticed. It wouldn't make it here by itself though, and the small, not very hot fire her sister had set was getting hotter. reluctantly she reached for Immortal's boost, but lost it. She gritted her teeth and reached again, falling into one with her brother long enough to shot water at the cone, extinguishng it immediately. Immortal tunred to face them. Flames looked downcast, Indigo triumphant. he glared at his violet sister. Okay, Flames, you did well. You need to practice calling the fire...you are very good at synch'ing with me. he smiled at her. Then he tunred back to Indigo. You need to learn toi synch with me, Indigo! And you can't do it if your reluctant. he said angrily. Whatif someone you'd loved was on fire, and you couldn't get me because your hadn't practiced?! he fell silent. Tears rolled down Flame's cheeks. Now look what you've done! Indigo yelled at him. Me? I didn't do anything! If you'd concentrate harder- he, too, was cut off but Flame's strangled voice. Stop! Just...stop. Stop fighting each other all he time! I can't stand it! The young filly turned and ran. Immortal and Indigo stood with their own thoughts and memories.
