In reply to: Darian 's message, "He gives a vague smile, somehow 'transfixed' in time. He looks away as the sudden gusts of wind fly up, steely-blue gaze sweeping the broiling clouds. Sea-mist drenches them in a damp dew, and the distant rumble of thunder echoes on the obscured horizon. He turns back to Marnie, not wanting to leave but thinking, perhaps, he needed to." on 17:48:46 05/13/01 Sun

Marnie jumped, startled at the clap of thunder. Turning to look out at the threatening clouds, she sighs. "Guess we'd better head back," she says reluctantly, gathering everything together, putting the remnants of the picnic in the basket, folding up her easle, which she hadn't touched, then turning to lay them all together on the sand. Turning back to Darian, she gives him a look of questionment.

He helps to fold the blanket, and turns to whistle to his horse. Excalibur trots in, ears flicking in agitation at the thunder. "We should ride fast. I don't like the closeness of the lightening." He takes the basket, offering the take it back with them. He does not return Marnie's question with an answer, instead he averts his gaze towards the clouds. (NT)Darian20:32:45 05/14/01 Mon
