It had been so long since she had recieved a gift- let alone anything as new as the boots laying before her. Excitedly she bounced up and down on her toes for a moment before reaching foreward to accept the gift. "T-t-thanks!" she stuttered, dropping to sit down and slide them onto her feet. Her fingers fumbled with the laces as she tied them up. She stood and wiggled her toes, they were a bit big- but she'd grow into them. She was already quite tall for her age and she still had growing to do. She softly stroked the pelt of the loyal Teal before giving Christine a hug, without hesitation- how could someone who showed such kindness mean any harm? Kiera realized that just then she learned how to trust again, Christine deserved her trust. And Kiera needed her. She kicked at the ground with her toe, smiling at everyone.
