can have the biggest balls in the world and not be able to make a piece of crap go fast.
When Evernham, Petty and Ganassi went to Dodge, they did so with an eye to the future. They were involved in the Dodge program right from the start. They all knew they were entering with a new manufacturer and they helped do the design work.
When Robby Gordon switched from GM to Ford he did so in an effort to move up the food chain. He was not getting the help from GM that Hendrick and DEI were getting. switching to a smaller established team made sense and he did that TO IMPROVE HIS TEAM.

What JGR is doing is totally different. Toyota is already established in NASCAR and their program is in the toilet. Toyota has failed to make as many races as they've made. Their engines are crap. Look at Vickers.. even when he has great runs, he loses an engine or something.
The point is not that JGR went to Toyota. The point is that they went to a team that is crap and therefore, money had to have been the motivating factor: not the need or desire to improve the team.
Now it gets worse because according to Michael Waltrip, MWR suddenly got better because of information passed to them from JGR. That means one of two things: either JGR is working on the Toyota program even though they are still under contract to General Motors through the last race of the season, or they passed along proprietary GM information. Either way, they are either breaking or circumventing the rules and the basis of their contracts with GM. General Motors said that their contract with JGR stipulates that they cannot even TALK to another manufacturer until after Homestead but obviously they did that.
My anger with JGR does not stem from their decision to go to Toyota. My anger is bases solely on the fact that they are breaking the rules.
I still approve of Toyota being in Cup. What I do not approve of is underhanded dirty business and thats what we have here. And its the second time they've done it. The first was when Bill Davis worked with the Toyota program while still under contract to Dodge.
Maybe this is good. Toyota says they are one big team so now all the assholes will be on one team.

and for the record, Red Bull will be in Chevys by 2009. probably 2008, but 09 for sure.
