when Leo cut his arm off,back in 95, we were setback financially temporarily. So I tried to get food stamps just for a couple of weeks. I stood in line for hours only to have a guy tell me, "See all these people? None are legal. They will ALL receive food stamps... you will not" I only needed assistance for a short assistance that I was prepared to repay. HAH, I was born on the wrong side of the border.
