could someone look at this an explain it to me...

Top-35 in Owner Points and guaranteed a starting spot at New Hampshire:
#21 still 35th and increases its lead over the #22 to 19 points [was 4 last week
33) #70-Sauter/Haas 2075, 150 pts ahead of 36th
34) #45-Petty/Petty Racing 2013, +88
35) #21-Elliott/Wood Bros. 1944, +19
these teams and drivers must qualify by speed:
36) #22-Blaney/Bill Davis 1925, 4 pts behind 35th
37) #10-Riggs/Evernham 1743, -201

How can Elliott be 19 points ahead of 36th, but Blaney is only 4 points behind 35th?

Math was not my strongest subject, but if I am 19 minutes ahead of you, are you not 19 minutes behind me? Is there time travel involved here or am I missing something?
