Be of sober spirit------ be on the alert, your adversary the devil prows about like a roaring lion ,seeking someone to devoir. Beware of the schemes of Satan in order that he not take advantage of you. ( 2 Cor 2:11 ). It was Satan who deceived Eve with his craftiness and caused man to fall.

He will also lead you astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ ( 2 Cor 11:3 ) I have warn you to beware of Satan�s schemes. If you look at the meaning of the word �scheme � it means --- A well thought out plan.� �I know the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of
the garden?�

Since the fall, Satan has never faltered in his schemes to deceive man. His goal is always to get man to depart from the faith. Be on the alert of the devil�s wiles., for he is running to and fro on the earth to deceive to cause as much confusion as he can. Paul said, � Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ( Eph 6:11 )

Satan�s purpose is-------- To trip up the world through twisting the word and blinding people into worshiping him. He seeks to plunge the world into the abyss. an abyss Isaiah said, is reserved for Satan. The wiles of the devil is bring the world to a place where it will worship him. He is
sending false teachers to deceive mankind and lead them astray from the truth of God� s word. He come as an angel of light ( 2 Cor 11:13 )

But resist him, stand firm in your faith, put on the full armor of God, that you may be able stand against the angle who thinks himself to be a god. Satan is not an illusion. He is a created being by God.

While he has powers , he is limited in his powers just as we are limited in the power we have within ourselves. Without Christ, we are no match with Satan..

We who are of the body of Christ are to risit Satan and stand firm in our faith. ( Eph 6:11 ). The struggles we have in this world is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers,against the world forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places ( Eph 6:12 ). Do not loose faith, cast your anxiety upon the Lord, be strong in His might ( Eph 6:10; 1 Peter 5:7 )

Gird your loins with the truth of Gods word. and put on the breastplate of righteousness and shod your feet with preparation of the Gospel of peace so that you will be equipped to battle with the enemy (Eph 6:13- 14 ).

Those who are in Christ, �Your strength comes from God, for He has said, �Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will srengthen you,surely I will help, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand ( Isa. 41:10 )

Who is the righteous right hand of God?--------- � Surely it must be the Lord Jesus Christ. For He is the one who delivered us from the adversary who is the devil that is running about like a roaring lion to devour whom he may.
( 2 Tim 4:17 ).

We must never forget that it is the Lord Jesus Christ who delivered man from every evil deed, and will bring you safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory for ever and ever- �Amen { ( 2 Tim 4:18 ).

Bible Passages Related to Satan:

There are many passages in the Bible that are often associated with Satan. Some examples are: the serpent who tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:4& Genesis 3:14)

(1) Satan (1 Chronicles 21:1) the adversary playing the role of prosecuting attorney in a heavenly court with God and the angels (Job 1:6 & Zechariah :1-2 & 1 Peter 5:8)

(2) The word devil (from the Greek "diabolos" which means "slanderer"),the temper of Jesus (Matthew 4:1-3, Luke 4:2)

(3) The prince of the demons, Beelzebub (Matthew 12:24, Mark3:22, Luke11:15)

(4) Unclean spirit (Matthew 12:43)

(5) The evil one (Matthew 13:19 & 1 John 2:13)

(6) The author of all evil (Luke 10:19)

(7) A murderer and the father of lies (John 8:44)

(9) The prince of this world (John 12:31 & 14:30 & 16:11)

(10) A demon able to enter into a human body (John 13:27)

(11) god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)

(12) Belial (2 Corinthians 6:15)

(13) prince of the powers of the air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2)

(14) power of darkness (Colossians 1:13)

(15) an adversary, like a roaring lion who walks about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8)

(16) the angel of the abyss, named Abaddon in Hebrew, Apollyon in Greek (Revelations 9:11)

(17) a great red dragon (Revelations 12:3 & 12:9 & 20:2)

(18) the accuser of our brethren who accuses Christians before God day and night (Revelations 12:10)

(19) the dragon, the old serpent (Revelations 20:2)

The Nature Of Satan:

Satan is a created being, an angle. He is not the mystical being with horns and a tail which he is made out to be. He is very clever and use his craftiness to cause mankind complete heartache.(Ezekiel 26:15 ) says, � Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity was found in thee.�

2. He is an intelligent being with a sinful nature. ( Ezek. 28:14,16 )

3. He the tempter ( Luke 4:1:2 ) Satan is a being with emontion, will and evil purpose. (Beware of his schemes.)

4.He is a created angle ( Ezekiel 28:14,16 ) who rebelled and was cast from heaven. He will be held morally responsible, and judgment will come to him ( John 16:11 )

Most conservative Christian churches teach beliefs that are grounded in the 1st century CE - that Satan is a profoundly evil, fallen angel who is totally dedicated to the destruction of everyone's lives. He is a supernatural being who "walketh about, seeking whom he may devour," and is aided by countless demons. He and his demons are all pervasive.

They engage in world-wide "spiritual warfare," and are a continual threat to all. They can dwell within people, as in demon possession.

Liberal Christian churches tend to view Satan as a principle or concept of evil, without any physical existence or personality.

They acknowledge that Jesus and his disciples believed in the presence of a living entity called Satan. They realize that the gospel writers wrote of exorcisms which drove indwelling demons from within people. But they attribute
these beliefs to the pre-scientific level of knowledge at the time.

Archeologists and anthropologists and other researchers have traced the development of the concept of Satan from its origin in the Zoroastrian religion, via the ancient Babylonian Empire,.

What is your View of Satan?

Is satan real to you? Do you believe that he is here on the earth causing you confussion, division, and as much hurt as possible. Do you believe that he is behind the fury of evil
that you see all around you? � Will thou not cease to prevert the right ways of God? ( Acts 13:10 )� There is no truth in satan ( John 8:44 ), he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.. We are told to risit the devil and he will flee from you. ( James 4:7 )

Also, we are told not to be ignorant of his devices. ( 2 Cor. 2:17 ) We are in a spiritual warfare. This warfare is not against flesh and blood , but against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, and against the spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.

Satan is cunning and he will go for your weakest areas to bring you down. But if you reist these areas, you take away from him the areas which you are varniable to him and he
will flee. Be on the alert of satan;s scheming ways. Have confidence, � You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. ( John 4:4 ) Our strength is in the fact that �We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God. (1 Cor. 2:12 )

Consider this, � The goal of satan is to influence evil throughout the world and in your life., Yes! even in the very church you attend. Satan is powerful, but God is the Creator.

The Bible says-------- � In The Beginning God � and then,creation. God knew what the nature of satan would be. He also knew man would fall and the nature of man�s heart
He in His predetermined plan and foreknowledge delivered up His Son to die on the Cross for the sins of mankind ( Acts 2:22-24 )

Therefore, if satan can prevent you form keeping your focus upon Christ, You will sink as Peter did when walking upon the sea and he took his eyes off Jesus who bidded Peter leave the boat and wlak out to meet Him on the waters

Satan with his hold on the world systems is like a fisherman with a sparkling lure. The lure is the things of this world such as ( materiallism,lust of the flesh and the lust of
the eyes, our boastful pride) all which are the things that satan uses to take our eyes from the one who protects us from his ugly snares.Look, we are in this world, but we as
Christians must remember that this world is passing away, and also the lust ; but the one who does the will of abides forever. ( 1 John 2:17 ).

While we are in the world, we are to be set apart from the world and not be evenly yoked with the unbeliever, but at the same time we should extend the word of God to the
unbeliever as the Lord so command in ( Matt. 28:19-20; luke 16:15 ) that he may have the chance to hear the gospel and be saved.

In all my few years being involved in Evangelism, I have found that many Christians become offended when you challenge them to share the gospel.

The reasons, I leave for you to ponder. But, I will say this, � If you had just won a large sum of money,You could
not wait to tell someone.� Think about it!

If satan can tempte you to the point of sin, then you have guilt and this usually brings about the rejection of the truths of God. ( Acts 5:3; 1 Cor. 10:13 ; Luke 4:1-13 )
Remember the consequences of falling to temptation ( James 1: 14,15 ----- each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

Christians need to undestand that they will be attact by satan and he is cunning in his ways. He will attack the young Christian to make them feel unassured of their salvation.

He will attack the older Christian to make you feel unworthy and unable to serve in your ministry. Remember, � We are unworthy and we will not be effective in our ministry if
we rely on any other than God to bring us through in His will for our lives. Satan is out to trip you up. He will trow every curve at you he can to stick you out.
