'drian, keep me posted on whatever that sounds interesting...i didn't know u're into sigur ros as well..i've been looking into post-rock and ambient stuff for hte past year..and a little experimental stuff...you got to check out matmos/four tet/pole if you haven't already..i think u'll be particularly intrigued by the first..like your jap friends with the performative art/music thingy... they pick up sounds from everyday life and make a montage of it with obscure but catchy rhythms...i had a taste of that sort of thing at this sound fest in may. i have to agree with you that fabric's really fucking fantastic...you could feel the vibration generated by the bass on the ground metres away from the entrance..in the club..i felt, at several moments,...that my heart could possibly stop..i haven't clubbed in a good place for a year or so..think the energy's coming back...went to a sleazy club in stoke newington a few days ago with my housemate..there are a million dodgy greeks/turks (god bless me, i'm not against any nationality in particular) lurking around....well, what can you expect from a salsa club..i'm really not into this shit..was a complete waste of my time/money. but stoke newington's a cool place alright.. i'm going to brighton for a free mag launch cuz my friend's bf's band is gonna have a gig there..and i'm gonna have free accommodation...will try to call you before i go... jianhao.. got your mobile no. down...hope all's good..and i will give you a ring a well...and meet up with you guys as soon as possible... right..gotta go.. hope everyone at home is good...the esplanade sounds exciting..can't wait to see it..my sister has already updated me on several cool features in there....man..i hope everything will turn out great..there's os much potential in that...
