hahaha probably because there is no building...or beach for that mattter. And no Sea Wolves this year, so no reffing job for him, either. I'm not mocking. But if we don't make jokes and laugh about our predicament, we'll all go crazy from the stress of it!
Getting off the subject, but I sure wish the news would mention the Mississippi Gulf Coast and how badly it got hit by the storm. All I see is stuff about New Orleans. They had it bad, but they did not get the wind and tidal surge we had. They had slow flooding that took a while to come in then be pumped out or drained out. Not that I don't feel for them, but dang, Hancock county, just 45 miles north east from New Orleans, got WIPED OUT! We lived like 3rd world citizens for almost a week before help arrived and we could get out. It is still total devestation down there. No phones, very little electricity, no drinkable water from the taps (which means showering in contaminated water, but at least you can get some of the mud and stink off of youself), and everyone is totally exhausted and at their wits ends.
So, please keep us ALL in your thoughts and prayers. It may have been a month since this happened and it's "old news" to the rest of the world, but to us, it's a reality we cannot escape from. It will literally take YEARS to build the area back up to just a tiny bit of normalacy.
Hey, Candy, how ya'll doing? Drop me an email soon. My cell doesn't work up here and I'm bouncing off another server so I can't even get my voice mails! Every now and then I see where you called, but I can never get you back on the phone!
