I was looking at the schedule, and we have an open on Lake George and a club event on Rock River scheduled on the same day??? I am hoping this is a mistake because that I doesn't make any sense to me.
Also, last year everyone did a lot of complaining before, during, and after the Lake George tournament how they hate the lake, and never want to fish there again Open or not. Now, this year comes along and what do I see, Lake George on the schedule not once, but twice. I don't get it, everyone complains about it last year and it still makes the schedule this year. Are you really telling me that everyone wants to fish Lake George once, maybe twice, and no one would rather fish anywhere else? I would much rather fish at a place where I can breathe while I am fishing, have more room to fish with more opportunities to catch fish, and not have to deal with shit brown water that is only 4ft deep if your lucky and hope you get maybe a couple good keepers let alone a bag of 5. I'm sure some of you can agree with some, if not all the points I just made.
I will support this club, but having two tournaments on the same day, and continually wasting tournament dates, Opens or not, on Lake George after all the complaining last year is getting a little ridiculous in my opinion and something needs to change. I know we voted on lakes, but I do know that Lake George was voted against for a club event because no one from the club wants to fish there. So why make it an open tournament if club guys don't want to be there? It doesn't look good when we host an Open tournament, and there are more non club members fishing than club members.
