Well what can I say!
What a shambles, one of the best bands to play at the club, to go off in a strop!
For those who missed it ......
They boys started in their usual 100% fashion, giving it everything, then they were asked to "turn it down a bit". I must say that some of the bass notes were jangling my intestines a bit, but I go to hear live music so come to expect this. Anyway Terry the landlord thought the windows were going to fall out!
So the band agreed to lower the volume and the rest of the evening was the aforementioned shambles.
I am no expert but I always thought that a band pitches its volume around the drummer, how can you ask a drummer of this quality to turn it down. He ended up playing with brushes!
The whole atmosphere turn sour and the band just packed-up at the finish, no encore, none of the usual witty repartee, just FLAT.
I doubt it if we will see Worried Men again!

Does Terry want the Blues Club at the Gower, I sometimes think not.

Most disgruntledly,

H.
