One of my friends here has a crab trap and a casting net for shrimp that I can use, I still cannot find any surf rods.
But, I looked online, and a regular pole with 12lb. test line and a steel leader is great for catching fish up to 15 lbs. off the peir.
Just to let anyone who cares know.
