Silence.
It was dawn by the time Zenra reached Escavlone. The flight had been abnormally long, as though some power wanted to prevent her and her knights from coming to the city. An omen...
The city seemed so empty now, as Hogoromo had been when the Escavlone had left it years prior. When Emi had lost her head.
Zenra pushed past the guardless gates and into the city, her two knights at her flanks. The first place she went was to the armory, to retrieve her sword.
The heavy door swung creakily open for her, and she entered, Dathnaer and Lo waiting outside for her.
On the wall hung a covered blade, covered with a thin cloth of what looked like silk, to keep the dust off it. Gentle fingers pulled off the cloth and it slid without argument to the ground, fluttering as it went.
There hung a crystaline blade with a single feather at the heart of the blade. The feather was as long as the sword itself, part of what made the blade. A long peacock blue feather. "Guardian" was etched into the hilt, lined in silver. It slid off the brackets it rested on with only the softest hiss, then made a curious growling resonation as Zenra slipped it into the empty scabard on her hip. A gentle resonating echoed in the armory as she turned, and left it, Dathnaer shutting the doors behind her, and they continued on into the city.
She was pointed to the counsil's chamber when she finally found someone and queried as to where Damuthca and Tyrsis might be found. Zenra had a feeling she would need Guardian, though she had no idea of the events that had transpired in Escavlone. She had not stopped to talk to Johan, she had not even seen the fragments of the whole that had come to Hogoromo.
She just had a feeling.
