Shai woke with daylight streaming through little pinpricks in the roof on her face. She looked over and saw Sean asleep but he was starting to wake. She decided to go gather some berries for breakfast. Shai took her reed basket from the crevice in the cave wall.
On her walk to get berries she killed a rabbit for lunch with her sling. She stopped and skinned the rabbit and took out its guts. She put the rabbit in a water-proof deer skin bag. She then through the guts to Doom. The wolf ate it quickly.
She found a suitable amount of berries for breakfast and went back in the cave. Shai stuffed the rabbit with the berries and cooked it over a low fire. Shai went over and set on Sean's bed, she stroked his cheeck to wake him up and bent close to his face. She felt his gentle breathing caress her face, it smelt like the mint duck she had cooked last night.
"Good Morning sunshine." She said with a smile on her face, her head still bent close.
