A large sign surrounded by magestic stones and gracefully blooming flowers says it all. 
"Shadowside Kennels,
Specializing in Pastorial Dogs"
It is easy to see that here, at Shadowside, the focus is on canines; more so pastorial breeds. After travelling up the long driveway lined by victorious Maple trees you arrive at the "main circle" as the workers of Shadowside affectionatly labeled it. There are two buildings here, one clearly the main office and the other unidentifiable to yourself. Behind them are dusty trails leading through a slightly tree-dotted grassy stretch to the kennel buildings. Our kennels are clean and well kept with both indoor and outdoor options available for all dogs. Glancing back you will also come to see that on the oposite sides of the large maples you passed by on the driveway are large fields. One holds a small flock of sheep estimated to be 17 head or so, the other holds a fresh agility course. Beyond the kennels and between the maple trees that continue to cast elegant shadows, a broad assortment of pens can be found. Within all such areas there are great signs of activity, lanky border collies rounding the sheep into a tight circle, broad Australian Shepherds skimming over an A-frame with such apparent ease that it looks as if a baby could get over it without a fuss. Those two breeds may make up the majority of our kennel, but that is not to say they are alone the only dogs. Shadowside also serves as home to some "sporting" dogs such as Golden Retrievers, main focus here being agility style events. All of our dogs are bred for quality, tempermant, conformation, and soundness. Our bitches are matched with studs picked to the best of our ability to assure such things, no dogs are over or in bred. Our training styles, too, are gentle and somewhat unique. As long as you abide by the rules, visistors are often welcomed at Shadowside Kennels.
