What constitutes discrimination?

This could be a highly controversial yet very important question, especially in dealing with the legislation of the so-called anti-discrimination law.

For example, criticizing (and/or thinking) that a particular action or non-action is improper constitutes discrimination or not.

Besides, teaching and/or preaching one thought, which the majority of the community does not accept constitutes discrimination or not (for instance, preaching communism, preaching tolerating homosexuality and/or preaching homosexuality is improper).

If the answers are yes, then do we still recognize freedom of speech and the like as one of basic human right?

I guess you still don¡¦t understand what I said.

Let¡¦s say,

The essence of homosexuality is sexual intercourse between men.

The essence of Christianity is to follow (at least partially) the biblical teachings (which, at least at first glance, condemned sexual intercourse between men.

The two types of basic human rights, namely freedom as to sexual orientation and freedom as to religion, contradict to each other, to certain extent.

Which one of the rights should prevail over the other?

In HK, both groups (assuming they are equally evil, equally righteous and/or equally non-sense) are minority. Which one should we protect it from the other?

To uphold the so-called anti-discrimination law as to homosexuality, should we edit the Christian bible, or ban it entirely?

On the other hand, the issue, in my opinion, is theoretically far more complicated than it looks. What are the grounds supporting the concept of human rights? The Evolution (& mutation) Theory? In substance, it is all about one¡¦s faith, which very much depends on the one¡¦s freedom as to religion.
