Unitarian Universalism has its root in christianity, but development towards liberalism and inclusivism has brought it to become a non-christian church. nowadays, it accepts atheists, agnostics, buddhists, etc as well as liberal christians, liberal christians within the uu church form a uu christian fellowship

a liberal christian is just a christian who adopts liberal theology, there are numerous liberal christians within many western mainline churches; some liberal christians are found, certainly, in the uu church, especially in the uu christian fellowship within the uu church
