In my opinion, Dawn, the only reason why the new breeds keep the dragon section going is because people are active enough to keep making them, and making them, and making them. I have not yet - though I'm very much sure there has been many - seen anyone think of a way to keep the dragon section going without a new breed being made, a new complication. Look, I like a twisting plot, and complicating story lines as much as any reader and story lover, but seriously, how far can we go before everyone just gives up on active characters in old breeds and just keeps making new characters for the newer breeds? And Raistlin. Yes, you were amazingly creative to come up with the Shadows - though I can't say, my apologies of course, that you have any more creativeness than anyone else does here. I don't, yet again, mean to be offensive, I'm just saying that we all (though I guess I can't say anything for myself since my opinion on that subject would be obviously biased) have the creativity to post and creative, but do we have the creativity to sustain? To go back to Raistlin. I think personally that Raistlin is a very, very interesting character. He has numerous affairs, numerous children, numerous powers, and other things besides. You say that he could have gained two powers, but he only took one. You say that he has magic, but takes a toll whenever he uses it outside of Everdark. Remember, though, the reincarnation? Yes, you plotted it all with the players before hand, but does he have the power to bring dragons/creatures/whatever back to life? Well, Dawn, I've been here ever since the old queen of the evil horses left for her final time and Malussinn came to be king. I really don't think that matters in the scheme of things, though I compliment your vigor in keeping that little bit of diplomacy. My only problem is that in my ignorance I cannot quite understand what you mean by "diplomacy." Oh well, have fun with it anyways. All right, here are my apologies: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. When I started I guess I got a bit overboard. It happens to everyone once and a while and I guess it was just my day. I'm afraid, though, I don't have any excuses about being overly tired, upset, depressed (that was two years ago, and I'm hopefully done with that, thankfully enough!), family problems, or any sort of things. I'll be taking all of the guilt of my offensive nature onto myself. The real question is, I believe, what should we do about this, Dawn? I'm very sorry for being offensive, and rude, and such like, but that doesn't take away from the reality that something has to be done. Or, is the dragon section all right as it is? Should people like Fran and I just shut up and go sit in a corner to watch and be out of everyone else's ways? You get down to it, and the question ends up to be not "What should we do?" and not even "Should we do anything?" but actually, "Will we ever be able to cooperate enough to find out?" I did create the new breed called the Flaris, and am one of the two caretakers to the Gaias' since Mandy left. I also own two Dark TT's and one Light TT within the Dragon realm. One top of this, I play over 25 dragons, and am active with all of them. Making new breeds is an awesome idea and keeps up creativity as long as you don't go overboard. I think that certain information should be required for one to make new breeds, on top of the very simple fact that NO dragon can be invincible. Any dragon can die, and every new breed should have to have weaknesses along with limits to their powers. I have done all of this with my Flaris because it is no fun to play an invincible dragon. You quickly loose interest and the dragon section just ends up with one more inactive dragon. I think Kate, Fran, Lizzy, and P. Sarah should ordain someone to be in charge of okaying new breeds. I for one am happy to volunteer my help. OOC fighting isn't helping us or getting us anywhere. We should take the Mounatins' of Morning and simply do as we have already started. There should be the Lights', the Darks', and a link that maybe we could call The Immortals. I don't use the word immortals in reference to them not being able to die, but as DaWn uses it to mean different and more powerful than the original Westerns', Pernese, Sea Serpents', and Easterns' which you would find in the regular Light and Dark sections. The Underworld seems to be disappearing so maybe we should take that down for now. As for how to set up the "NEW SECTION", I believe each new breed should have their own land or TT, specially made so that that breed can live comfortably. It would have a seperate sneaking, challenging, and breeding section, as well as a seperate joining area with info on each breed and who to contact in order to play one. As I mentioned before, I would be more than happy to create this new section, just let me know if you want my help.
