Stretching her wings like Lost Darkness, she grits her teeth, hardens her eyes and takes to the sky, flapping with all her strength to get airborne. Truth be to tell the little hatchling was only six months old and had never flown more than a few feet, but she was determined not to disappoint her new 'mother'. So as she gradually gets higher, her small wings already tiring slightly, she ignores the ache and keeps flying, trying hard not to look down. :}
