He sniffs it carefully, smelling the darkness all around it from both its parents and the one who saved it. He sighs, looking about with errie silver optics. He was a Light, he should let the egg be. But as he gazes down at it, his heart aches. He would take it in. If it began to show signs of darkness, he would bring it to the Dark lands to be cared for. But if or until then, he would care for it as if it were his own. He scoops the midnight hued egg up, its shell almost blending in perfectly with his own scales. Wings flare out and he leaps into the sky, heading for the Light North.....
