I'd like to add on to that John, by saying that it is possible to write a not-so-nice e-mail while maintaining a dignified and professional demeanor. I do agree that one must get into the habit of placing the e-mail in the draft folder and going back to it after some time has passed to 'edit'. I also agree that everyone has the right to express themselves and to let others know when they have behaved inappropriately. However, one must try to remember the time and place. For example, an angry response to my sister would be totally different than one to a co-worker.
